Description
I heard "Because He Lives" again while listening to The David Crowder Bands last release. I was reminded how true the lyrics to that song are. The idea to couple it with my song Rain Down felt very organic. Rain Down was written in 2009 while my wife, Jamie was going through chemo and I was angry. "Why does she have to go thru this, why won't You heal her , God?" were the questions I was yelling at Heaven. I had decided that I was gonna write angry songs to reflect the way I felt. These lyrics came out of left field and I fought it the whole time, until the song was finally done. It is one of my favorites that I've been able to write.
